Boston Chef Cupcake

Boston Chef Cupcake

By choosing a pre-existing vector, I traced the image and ungrouped it so that I could manipulate some of the effects of it. Before the cupcake said "Happy Birthday" but I got rid of that and replaced it with the current text. I also added the Boston Chef man and made him the same color as the darker secondary color of the icing.

Pug Puppy

Pug Puppy

I constructed a pug puppy entirely out of circles, triangles and rectangles, then manipulated the shapes into what I wanted them to look like to create each aspect of the dog. I added a gradient to the dog's body and head to change it from the plain colors of its face, tongue and ears.

Fire Lotus Hot Sauce

I drew a series of ovals and manipulated them to have sharper points, then positioned and colored them to make them look like a flower. I added the two green leaves using the Arc tool and combined the two ends to create the shape. I then drew two different sized circles and used the Type on a Path tool to make the text curve.

Personal Phone

Personal Phone

I drew a series of rectangles and positioned them in the way a phone would look. Then used the Stylize option under Effects to the round the corners a certain degree. Then changed all the colors of the strokes around the buttons and added an inner glow to give it more of a pop. Then added the symbols inside of the apps and drew the stylus out of two rectangles and a triangle.
